A Week of Massive Protests in Bucharest

The Romanian Capital is expected to be the scene of massive rallies of protest starting Tuesday, September the 22nd. About 20 thousand employees from the public sector have announced their presence today in what is intended to be the first of three consecutive days of marches. Unhappy about pay cuts and expected axing of more jobs, teachers, police officers, doctors and nurses, public workers and penitentiary officers will voice their objections to the Romanian Government’s policies on the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 27th and 28th of September.
