Kolontar Disaster: Red Poison to Reach Romania Saturday

Romanians brace for the worst, as the red poison tide is expected to reach its shores on Saturday. Although Hungarians claim that they can contain the disaster, some dead fish have been reported on the Danube, the river that runs through Hungary, Serbia and Romania.

Many major settlements in Romania draw their drinking water straight from the Danube. At the first sign of poison in the Danube waters, the authorities are prepared to shut down the water supplies to several cities along the river.

The Romanian Parliament has requested official explanations from their Hungarian counterparts, as a real environmental alert seems more plausible by the minute.
