Consumer Complaint: Priest Left Them Waiting at the Altar

It was supposed to be the best day of their lives, but after three hours of useless waiting in the church, with families and friends gathered around, to be wed, they decided it was going to be the other way around. The bride, Gabriela Costin, from Iaşi, Romania, eventually found out, over the telephone, that the priest who had agreed to wed them was on his way to Greece, to see the monasteries on Mount Athos.

The next step was all but clear: call Consumer Protection. And they registered an official complaint against the priest, just as they were still baffled of the events, outside the church.

Unfortunately, the Consumer Protection Office from Iaşi told them to address the complaint to the Metropolitan Church, in the same city, for it is they whom the priest must answer to.
