Wikileaks: Romanian Contractor Killed Civilians in Iraq

Danubia Global Inc. is a Romanian Company whose presence in Iraq caused the death of many civilians, claims the investigation website Wikileaks. Owned, amongst others, by a former Romanian intelligence general, Mihail Bichir, the company had close links to the CIA and to other private contractors. At one point, it also allegedly served as a front for a US company, Custer Battles, who had been banned from entering Iraq because of a 3 million dollars fraud scandal.

Danubia’s headquarters are, officially, in an apartment building, just behind the door number where general Bichir’s residence is. Nevertheless, through the company’s accounts large sums of money have run back and forth since 2004.
