Wikileaks: Romania Mentioned as Go-Between in Iranian Weapons Deal

A confidential list of strategic instalations around the world, published by Wikileaks, mentions Romania, Russia and Croatia as intermediaries in a deal to supply Iran with strategic defence equipment. The provider was allegedly a German company and the trade was supposed to take place in 2007. Romania, Russia and Croatia were supposed to help the supplier avoid the embargo on Iran. The diplomatic document does not mention whether a Romanian company or person was indeed involved in a trade or whether the deal was carried out.
